Character's Codename: Felix (not Cat – Cat is girly)
Character's Face: John Hensley
Character's Powers: Timothy is in short a cat. He’s got short pointy canines, superior hearing, night vision, very quick reflexes, and retractable claws in place of nails on both hands and feet.
He has a line of soft hair growing down his spine but apart from that he has no more hair than an average human. He is quite fast and has a tendency to run as a digitigrade, i.e. on his toes. His bones are lighter than an average human’s and he has softer joints, enabling him to twist in the air and land on his feet. The only exception is the joints in his hands. These are more rigid, enabling him to use the claws with less possibility of damage to his hands. The claws are placed further down the finger than ordinary human nails and can extend to double length. He is very agilie in general, is an excellent climber, and can stay motionless for extended periods of time
He has vertical pupils, nictitating membranes, and a great urge to throw things and catch them again. Think cat with thumbs.
Character's Strengths: Timothy is fast, strong for his size, and has lightening quick reflexes. His claws are sharp if small and assist him in climbing and running and he is, physically, a natural hunter.
He has a strong sense of right and wrong although his newfound instincts may at times blur the lines a bit.
When he stops thinking and relies on his instincts instead he is a survivor. Timothy’s problem is that he isn’t very good at ‘not thinking’.
He comes from a supportive and open-minded family and will – when the initial shock at his “transformation” has died down realize that this has not changed. That will be a source of strength.
Character's Weaknesses: Timothy has had a hard time adjusting to his heightened senses and confusing impulses. He is also finding it difficult to adjust to his sudden aggressiveness His attention is easily grabbed by moving objects and he tends to pounce without thinking. He is embarrassed by his needs to groom and sleep and prowl but he has so far been unable to control or repress them.
He has a very distinctive body odour and need to shower regularly to keep it down. This is a further point of unease for him.
And he is curious. Very, very curious.
Additional Tidbits:
Timothy loves his parents and sister fiercely but is at times a little awkward about it.
He will need very little provocation to fly into a hissy fit but he is by and large not confrontational unless provoked. Or woken.
He hasn’t realized it yet but he will love being petted.
Character's History:
Timothy is the son of David (46, contractor) and Nancy Jackson (39, schoolteacher) and was until his mutation manifested a somewhat timid boy with a nice singing voice and average grades. He’s got an older sister, Allison, who’s always been the one that acted up. They live in Yonkers, south of NY.
At the age of 14 he started getting tension headaches and acting in a much more aggressive and confrontational manner, both at home and at school. He also started sleeping more. His parents were naturally worried when his grades plummeted and Timothy started to withdraw but he was very reluctant to share whatever troubled him with them and instead preferred to stay holed up in his room and going for long, solitary walks.
Over the course of that year he grew increasingly occupied with his personal hygiene and hypersensitive, on several occasions getting into fights with older boys he would have done his best to not attract the attention of earlier. The last of these fights turned rather ugly as Timothy panicked and ended up scratching one of the other boys. The wounds were by no means fatal but Timothy got scared by the blood and fled, returning home two days later.
His parents sat him down and Timothy for the first time told them about what was happening, showing them his hands and feet. He didn't mention what he thinks of as ‘the voice in his head’, his instinctual urges.
Hie eyes started changing after that and he got even more reclusive as his senses opened up. His mother had heard of Westchester and it was decided that this would be the best solution for Timothy. Timothy's agreement however, was very reluctant. He doesn't want to go to a special school, just a normal one. Or, prefarably, no school at all.
Additional stuff: Is slightly lactose-intolerant. And very confused about the thoughts he sometimes gets about the nice girls he knows; wanting to bite them in the neck and such
